The Lake Louise Grizzlies Ski Club is looking for energetic individuals that love to ski and coach young motivated athletes on snow. Lake Louise is one of the best playgrounds in the world when it comes to winter sports and the Lake Louise Grizzlies Ski Club is at the heart of it. We have an exciting group of coaches and athletes. We have a variety of positions available with our exciting team for all levels of coaches for the 2021-2022 season:
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Grizzlies, Grizzlies+ and Cubs (Nancy Greene) Program Coaches:
- part-time, weekend positions
- Saturday-only, Sunday-only and Saturday-Sunday positions available
- coaching athletes 5 to 11 years-old
- staff training in November and coaching season from December to April
Race Coaches:
- 2+ days per week including weekends, depending on program
- coaching athletes 6 to 16 years-old
- coaching season from November to April
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Canadian Ski Coaches Federation/Alpine Canada (CSCF/ACA) training and/or Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) certification with membership in good standing
- ski coaching and/or ski instructing experience OR
- experience teaching or instructing children
- proven alpine ski abilities (e.g., past alpine ski race training)
- willingness to take an CSCF/ACA or CSIA course in November (discounted course or partial subsidy may be available)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- you must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- police background check required upon hiring
- preference will be given to candidates who can commit to the full season with minimal to no time off requests
- Please note: housing can be difficult to secure in the area and we cannot provide staff accommodation. These positions are ideally suited to individuals who already live and/or work between Calgary and Golden.
